White Rose Champion School

We are delighted to announce that Springwell Leeds Academy has been recognised as a “White Rose Maths Champion School” That means we have been officially recognised for our commitment to the White Rose approach to teaching mathematics. This status involves a formal partnership that allows the school to collaborate with White Rose Education, share best practices, and help shape future resources.  The White Rose Maths approach itself is a mastery-based teaching method, focusing on a deep, long-term understanding of mathematical concepts through a structured “small steps” approach.

By becoming a Champion School, we have demonstrated that we have successfully adopted and embedded this philosophy to ensure all pupils can succeed in mathematics.
