Update: Tuesday 24th March 2020
Dear Parents and carers
The continuing COVID-19 crisis means that Springwell Leeds Academy will remain closed to all pupils for the rest of this week. During this time, those staff that are able, are endeavouring to make contact with all our families to check how our children are and offer support at this difficult time.
From Monday 30th of March, we are planning to re-open our sites to a small number of children. In line with Government guidance, we are working on the principle that for the vast majority of children, the safest place for them to be at present is at home.
We ask that wherever you can keep children at home, you should.
We will be contacting families of those children to whom we can offer a place in the next few days to discuss details of how this arrangement will work.
If you are not contacted, you should assume that, sadly we are not able to offer your child a place and that you should continue to keep them at home until further notice.
If we are unable to offer your child a place, school staff will continue to make regular contact with you and your child by phone and will be directing children to online learning resources or providing home learning packs to those who cannot access learning online.
We understand that this is a very difficult time for the whole nation and strongly encourage you to follow Government advice to keep you and your child safe.
