Update: Friday 20th March
Dear Parents/carers
I took the decision to close all our Springwell Leeds Academy sites to pupils yesterday on the basis of a number of factors affecting the health and safety of our school community and on this basis, the academy will remain closed next week.
Throughout next week we will remain closed to pupils so that we can use the time to develop plans for continuing to offer learning for all our students during what is likely to be an extended period of school closure.
I should be clear with you all, that this will not be a ‘business as usual’ model, as we will be unable to offer “normal” service for some time to come. Information about what we are able to offer will be provided to you and your child next week.
The Government announced this week that there will be provision for children of key workers and vulnerable students, and last night issued a list of to whom that applies. Any plans that we are able to make for onsite provision for our pupils therefore, will be focused on these groups first.
You can check to see if you are on the list of key workers, by clicking here.
If you are a key worker, please let us know by email at the following addresses:
South site: southconcerns@springwellacademyleeds.org
North site: northconcerns@springwellacademyleeds.org
East site : eastconcerns@springwellacademyleeds.org
Or you can call the school on the usual number (please note that you may not get through immediately at the present time)
Unless you hear otherwise via our established messaging services – e.g. text from school or a phone call, please continue to assume that school is closed for all pupils. Please continue to check this website for news posts/updates.
We appreciate that this is a challenging time for us all and will provide more detailed information as soon as we can.
