Information for Parents
Along with many schools in the area and further afield, we are experiencing high levels of staff absence due to the on going effects of COVID-19. This has meant that where we have not been able to secure appropriate cover for staff, we have had to take the difficult decision to close some classes to pupils. Closing classes is always a last resort and is done only to when there is insufficient staff available ensure the safety of our pupils.
Where we do have to close classes, we aim to give parents and carers as much notice as possible and put in place arrangements for home working.
I am sure that you, like us, hope that we are coming through the worst of the disruption now and that in the coming weeks we will see the situation improve and things return to normal. In the meantime, you can help by:
- keeping your child at home if they have symptoms of COVID-19
- ensuring that your child takes a lateral flow test twice a week
We thank you sincerely for your continued support and patience during this difficult period.
