Free School Meals Update
You may have seen in the media today, the Government announcing the launch of a new Free School Meal voucher . We would like to make it clear to parents/carers that this scheme does not replace the voucher scheme that we are currently operating.
We will continue to operate the scheme we put in place last week – if you have been receiving vouchers from us, you will continue to receive them. We believe that the scheme we put in place is at least as good as the one announced and that parents / carers are at no disadvantage whatsoever by continuing to use our vouchers.
We would also like to announce that we will continue to provide free school meal vouchers over the Easter holiday period. Vouchers will be issued this week that will cover the next two weeks.
If your child is entitled to free school meals, staff from Springwell should have already been in touch to ensure you have your vouchers.
If you have not received a voucher from us yet and think that your child is entitled to a free school meal, please contact the site to which your child usually attends. Due to the current crisis , not all phone calls to school will answered immediately. If you do need to call, the best time for this is between 9am and 11am, weekdays.
We ask therefore that if at all possible you contact us by email at the appropriate address below:
